In partnership with the California Senior Games Association (CSGA), Bear Valley will host the second annual California Senior Winter Games, March 10th and 11th, 2012. Male and Female sports enthusiasts 50 years old and up will have an opportunity to compete in this Olympic-style event that offers competition in downhill and cross-country skiing, boarding, snowshoeing and more. NASTAR recreational racing comes to Bear Valley this season with over 20 race dates planned. This program provides the opportunity for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and levels to compete with friends, family and other racers around the country. Click here for more information!

January is Learn to Ski Month (FOR AGES 9+)!  Take advantage of our special lesson offer this month. Unseasonably dry conditions are keeping resort operators in snow making mode.  Taking full advantage of brisk temperatures Bear Valley continues to rely on snowmaking operations as conditions allow.  In addition, Bear Valley is embracing the unique climate with a series of new events and programs that will allow guests to enjoy fresh made snow, sunny weather and myriad of activities that may never be available in the middle of January again. Come out to our FIRST Slopestyle Competition of the season! On January 29th at 11am. Registration begins at 9am in the sun room. $20 for 13 and over, $10 for 12 and under. Helmets are required. Awards will be given out at 2pm on the sun deck.
